1.Nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin, isosorbide dinitrate): Cialis and nitrates both lower blood pressure. Taking them together can cause a significant and potentially life-threatening drop in blood pressure (hypotension), leading to dizziness, fainting, or even heart attack or stroke. It is contraindicated to use Cialis with nitrates or recreational "poppers" (amyl nitrites).
2.Alpha-blockers (e.g., prazosin, terazosin, tamsulosin): Both Cialis and alpha-blockers relax blood vessels, which can lead to excessive blood pressure reduction when used together. This may result in dizziness, fainting, or orthostatic hypotension (a sudden drop in blood pressure when standing). If needed, your doctor may adjust the dosage or recommend spacing the medications.
3.Other antihypertensive drugs (e.g., atenolol, propranolol, enalapril, lisinopril): Cialis can enhance the blood-pressure-lowering effects of these medications. While this interaction is usually less severe than with nitrates or alpha-blockers, it can still cause dizziness or fainting in sensitive individuals. Close monitoring of blood pressure is recommended.

The Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is advising consumers not to purchase or use Cialis in generic form. Cialis is a prescription medication that contains the active ingredient tadalafil, which is used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). These products are not approved for use in the United States and are not intended to treat conditions related to diabetes or high blood pressure.
Healthcare professionals and patients should discuss the risks and benefits of using Cialis with patients to determine if this medication is an appropriate treatment option. Cialis is not approved for use in the United States.
Cialis is a prescription medication used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED). ED is a common sexual problem in men, affecting up to 40% of men each year.
ED is when a man is unable to get or maintain an erection firm enough for sex. ED can be caused by a variety of factors, including physical, psychological, and lifestyle factors. Physical causes of ED include:
ED can also be caused by psychological causes such as stress, anxiety, or relationship issues. ED can also be caused by lifestyle factors such as smoking, drinking, or lack of exercise.
Cialis works by increasing blood flow to the penis, which helps a man achieve and maintain an erection. It does not increase sexual desire or produce an erection. Cialis does not improve your sexual performance or satisfy your partner.
Tadalafil is a phosphodiesterase type 5 (PDE5) inhibitor. It works by relaxing the blood vessels in the penis, allowing for increased blood flow and resulting in an erection. Tadalafil is approved for use in the United States and is not approved for use in the United Kingdom.
Tadalafil is available in generic form in two strengths: 5 mg and 10 mg. Generic versions of tadalafil are also available, such as Cialis (tadalafil 10 mg), which has a lower dose of 2.5 mg and a higher dose of 5 mg. These generic versions of tadalafil are not approved for use in the United States.
Cialis should be taken about an hour before sexual activity. It can be taken anywhere from 30 minutes to 4 hours before sexual activity. Take Cialis exactly as it is prescribed by your healthcare provider. Your dosage and length of treatment will depend on your condition and the medication you are taking.
Do not take Cialis more often than once a day or more often than once in 24 hours, unless directed by your doctor. If you have any questions about why you are taking Cialis, talk with your healthcare professional.
Cialis is not approved for use in children under 12 years of age, as the drug has not been shown to be effective in children under 12 years of age.
